Here is a conundrum for practitioners of graded motor imagery – there is a right hand on a left foot . Maybe testing and exercising left/right discrimination would be contraindicated until the hand is reattached. You wouldn’t want to turn the right hand into a left hand. Maybe having it attached to the left foot has already made a significant left-ish representation for it in the brain?
Are all traumatic amputees in China afforded such complex surgery?
