EP3 2025

Mark your calendars for March 28-30, 2025 – EP3 will be back! Renowned as one of the top small conferences in the pain science community, this isn’t just an event – it’s a cool, exclusive club that anyone passionate about pain science can join. EP3 is a 3-day weekend of mind-blowing pain science, epic talks, wholesome ideas and a side of fun and laughter. Headlining 2025 will be three of the most influential names in pain science: Professor Lorimer Moseley AO, Associate Professor Tasha Stanton and Associate Professor David Butler, supported by a series of highly influential speakers discussing the most recent research impacting healthcare.

Early Bird tickets available now!

EP3 2025 is expected to be another sold-out success, attracting around 200 healthcare practitioners from Australia and around the globe. This three-day event focuses on the latest in pain science, helping clinicians implement the latest in cognitive, neuro, behavioural, and social science into real-world treatment for those with chronic pain. Previous events have attracted a diverse audience of multidisciplinary health professionals, consisting mainly of physiotherapists but with a healthy proportion of occupational therapists, psychologists, doctors, nurses, rehab therapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, and others. Engagement has always been very enthusiastic, demonstrating the growing interest and success in advancing pain science knowledge.

In 2025, we offer exclusive sponsorship opportunities for one Platinum Sponsor and three Gold Sponsors. All sponsors will enjoy prominent branding across the event, ensuring immediate exposure to delegates and anyone interested in the Noigroup EP3 event.

EP3 2025 will feature:

David Butler is a physiotherapist, educationalist, researcher, author of numerous pain-related texts, and clinician. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of South Australia, an honoured member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, and a witness to over 40 years of change in pain management and treatment. Despite shifting into peaceful retirement mode, he still finds professional thrills in the area of nature based prescriptions, educational philosophy, adult conceptual change and therapeutic metaphors.  He has always been a clinician at heart and there are always patients “on the go”. David is internationally well known and respected as a lively speaker, capable of transforming the most turgid of modern pain and educational sciences into instantly relevant, clinically applicable and occasionally hilarious information.

Lorimer Moseley is a pain researcher, educator and clinician. He has authored over 420 scientific articles and seven books. His contribution to the science of ‘how pain works’, the development of innovative treatments, and extensive public outreach activities, have resulted in prizes and awards in 14 countries. In 2020, he was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for ‘distinguished service to the science and management of pain, to science communication, education, and physiotherapy, to humanity at large’. He is the only known person to be able to detect a left-hander who thinks they are actually right handed and in a recent survey, 3 out of 10 people ranked him as ‘probably not the worst singer they have heard’.

Tasha Stanton is a physiotherapist and Associate Professor of Clinical Pain Neuroscience. She leads the Persistent Pain Research Group at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) and is co-Director of IIMPACT in Health at the University of South Australia. Her research tries to better understand why we hurt and what we can do about it. She holds expertise in osteoarthritis pain and in using new technologies, such as virtual reality, in the assessment and treatment of chronic pain. She has won numerous awards for her research and her scientific communication. Her special skills including karaoke, herding cats, and finding cool wine bars. Should you like your name hidden somewhere in her presentation, she accepts bribes in the form of Pinot Noir.
