Jef Huijbers

Jef has been part of Noigroup since 2021, initially joining as a trainee under the guidance of Bart van Buchem and Tim Beames. Since 2024, he has taught his own Explain Pain courses in the Netherlands and Belgium. He joined Noigroup with the desire to share his interest in persistent pain and pain science education with like-minded people.

Jef works as a pain specialist physiotherapist at FysioVeghel in the Netherlands and as a lecturer in physiotherapy at Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda, the Netherlands. With a background as a physiotherapist and a musculoskeletal physiotherapy scientist, Jef is driven by a passion for bridging the gap between research, practice and education. His mission is to deliver pain science education at both individual and public levels, aiming to promote better management of persistent pain.’’
