Sally Allbrighton
Sally Allbrighton graduated as a Physiotherapist from the University of Manchester in 2000, going on to gain a Masters degree at Keele University in Neuromusculoskeletal Healthcare in 2007. Sally has clinical experience in a wide number of areas, having worked in some of the largest teaching hospitals in the UK, two of which have the largest trauma units in the North West. The diversity of experience at these hospitals provided an excellent educational opportunity, but also fuelled a love of getting research and education into practice. Sally became a member of a research steering group whilst working in the NHS and completed her Masters thesis on the effective dissemination and implementation of evidence in practice, receiving an external commendation for the work. This became the basis for going into teaching.
Sally is now a self-employed Associate in a Private Practice in North Staffordshire, taking responsibility for leading the persistent pain service. She has an interest in persistent pain and also runs her own pain education company, allowing small groups of people to come together to share their pain experiences and finding a way to move forward by helping them to understand pain a little better. Sally also provides free talks to local community patient groups, local charities and professional Wellbeing groups.
She currently teaches Mobilisation of the Neuro-immune System and explain pain across the UK and Europe and has presented at UK conferences.
Sally leads a busy life with two young sons and has a love of yoga, meditation and cricket.
