EP3 is back in 2018 and we’re bringing three iconic names to one of Australia’s most iconic locations – the Melbourne Cricket Ground – better known as simply 'The G'.

NOI is very excited to be joined by Peter O’Sullivan for the first time, who together with Lorimer Moseley and David Butler will be presenting a unique education event bringing you the latest from the worlds of pain treatment, neuroscience and education.

Professor Peter O'Sullivan

Professor Peter O’Sullivan is Professor at the School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science at Curtin University and part time Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists) in Perth, Australia. Peter and his team conduct clinical research to investigate the life course, underlying mechanisms and targeted management of persistent musculoskeletal pain disorders. They have developed an integrated person-centred management approach called Cognitive Functional Therapy. He has published multiple papers and numerous book chapters in international peer review journals and is an invited speaker at conferences worldwide. He is also well known for his characteristic curls and distinct Kiwi accent.

Course delivery

The course will be a blend of lectures, interaction and practical workshops. There will be ample time to mix with the presenters throughout the three days.

Who is it open to?

EP3 2018 is open to all professionals working with people experiencing acute and chronic pain, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors, psychologists, nurses, chiropractors, osteopaths, massage therapists and others.

I've been to an EP3 before - shall I come again?

YES! There will be lots of completely new original material, new science and new jokes.

What is the difference between an EP and an EP3?

The three day EP3 events assume a solid pain knowledge-base and aim to advance your thinking, understanding and treatment of pain.

If you are new to pain science and education concepts, EP is the course to start with. Explain Pain covers the core pain biology and the ‘how to’ of Explaining Pain.
