Graded Motor Imagery Pack
Graded Motor Imagery (GMI) is a sequence of strategies including laterality restoration (being able to identify left and right limbs), motor imagery and mirror therapy. Evidence for the use of the graded motor imagery process or its individual components comes from neuroscience and clinical trials.
Recognise Flash cards and Recognise Online are suitable for laterality restoration while the NOI Mirror Box is required for mirror therapy.
Recognise Flash Cards come with forty-eight left and right hand images and are a therapeutic resource for upper limb motor control problems. Card games, reference list and instructions by David Butler included.
Recognise online allows a person to test whether there is a change in their laterality perceptions of the foot, hand, shoulder, neck and back. It provides effective graded therapy for laterality problems with vanilla, context, abstract and video image options.
Constructed from plastic corflute and a perspex mirror (300 x 295mm), the NOI Mirror Box is light, portable and easy to use. Instructions included.
